As a theater professional based in the Los Angeles area, Greg has been able to achieve a wide range of accomplishments. He was writer/director of the arrival ceremonies in Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City for the Olympic Torch Relay of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, writer /director for the Walt Disney Company, and Creative Director for Me3Productions.
Working for the Entertainment Dept. of the Walt Disney Company, Greg has written and/or directed over 100 productions and special events, ranging in scope from musicals to speeches for Michael Eisner (including the national and international touring shows to promote Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame). Greg has also created shows for DreamWorks, Buena Vista, Buena Vista International, Sony, Fox, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures Motion Picture Group, Nickelodeon, Walt Disney Feature Animation as well as numerous corporate clients.
Greg began his theatrical career at the Tony Award winning South Coast Repertory (one of TIME magazines top 5 theaters), where he has written, directed and performed in numerous productions. He has also been associated with the Grove Shakespeare Festival, Alternative Repertory Theater, the Laguna Playhouse, and the Long Beach Studio Theater.
A published author and playwright, Greg’s latest book IMPROV! is in its 15th printing and his many published plays are being produced around the world (they can be found at www.samuelfrench.com, www.bakersplays.com, and www.hitplays.com). His latest musical, The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus was just produced by the Laguna Theater and will be published in 2006.
Greg was a creative consultant on the hit ABC primetime show, Whose Line is it Anyway’, wrote and directed the television pilot, The Everyday Adventures of Hannah Handleman (Super Genius) and is currently writing and directing videos and live stage for the Walt Disney Company.
Greg has worked with numerous celebrities, CEO’s and executives in honing their stage and presentation skills to communicate their message in a powerful and meaningful way. Greg combines business with show business to create memorable speeches and unique presentations.
